Range and Performance

The Ford Mustang Mach E has put Ford on the map in the world for EVs, and they made a splash choosing the Mustang name to do so. The base-level model has a highly efficient 230-mile range, and top-end trims have a range of 300 miles. Packed with sport suspension and both front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive options, you can get the handling of the Mustang that you love behind the wheel of an electric crossover.

The 2021 Tesla Model Y has a long-range model that gets to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds, and the Performance version takes that down to 3.5 seconds. And while there was a more affordable standard-range model available that got 244 miles on a single charge, they discontinued it. This means you have to pay a premium price for either the Long Range model with a 326-mile range or the Performance model with a 303-mile range.

Interior Features

Inside the Ford Mustang Mach E, you'll find ultra high-tech features such as the Sync4A 15.5-inch infotainment system that includes navigation, FordPass Connect, which allows you to use your phone as a key, Apple Car Play/Android Auto, 4G LTE, and WiFi. Add premium sound options to that, and you'll cruise around Stuart in style inside this fun ride!

However, inside the 2021 Tesla Model Y, you have no option for Apple Car Play or Android Auto and are required to use Tesla's proprietary technology system. The famous Tesla landscape-oriented 15-inch touchscreen includes features like heated seats and a 12-way power adjustment for the front bucket seats. You can also find Bluetooth and WiFi, and navigation as well.

Safety Features

Ford left nothing to chance with their cutting-edge CoPilot360 suite of safety technology that includes reverse brake assist, reverse sensing, pre-collision assist, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, a rear camera, and automatic high beams. There is even an optional Co-Pilot360 Active that includes a semi-autonomous driving mode.

For the 2021 Tesla Model Y, there are two driver safety suites to choose from. They have adaptive cruise control and semi-autonomous steering assistance, along with the more advanced Full Self-Driving package. This option includes a Level 2 system that still requires the driver to be focused on the road and ready to steer at all times.
