Which 2021 Ford Ranger is Right for You XL, XLT or Lariat Post

The 2021 Ford Ranger, crowned best in class with a torque rating of 310 lb.-ft., boasts 270 horsepower, class-exclusive 2.3L EcoBoost®, and auto start-stop technology for greater fuel efficiency. XL Model

Starting at $25,070 with a towing capacity of 7,500 lbs., the XL comes standard with cloth bucket front seats with manual adjustments, a cloth bench seat in the rear with an armrest and under seat storage for the SuperCrew®, and removable cushions and under seat storage in the SuperCab. Vinyl and premium cloth seats are optional. For climate, the XL comes standard with manual air conditioning, single zone with optional dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control. The XL’s entertainment system come packed with standard features like AM/FM stereo radio with Bluetooth Pass-Thru and four speakers, FordPass Connect™ with 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, 911 Assist®, Applink®, and smart-charging USB port. Options include SiriusXM®, six audio speakers, SYNC® and SYNC® 3, as well as voice-activated navigation with SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link®. You’ll also find standard conveniences on the XL like a 2.3-inch productivity screen, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, black vinyl floor covering, locking glove box, and MyKey® that promotes safe and responsible driving.

XLT Model

The next trim level up, the XLT, starts at $29,120 and mirrors the XL with a 10-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission and available 4×4, electronic-locking rear differential, and Electronic-Shift-On-the-Fly (ESOF) with neutral towing capability (4×4 only). You’ll find the XLT differentiate itself with standard 17-inch silver-painted aluminum wheels, one inch larger than the XL’s, with various options in the 17-inch and 18-inch wheels. Additionally, the Ford Co-Pilot360™ Technology adds several standard safety features like BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Coverage, automatic high beams, and the Lane-Keeping System. Inside, premium cloth seats come standard with available front-seat power adjustments. As with the XL, the infotainment system comes standard with SiriusXM®, six audio speakers, SYNC® and SYNC® 3, but also with a 4.2-inch, color productivity screen, as well as a 8-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen in the center stack with available SYNC® 3. Interior-wise, the XLT features color-coordinated carpet with carpeted floor mats. And the XLT also boasts more substantial security features, like power door locks with flip key and integrated key transmitter keyless entry, including auto-lock, and perimeter anti-theft alarm.

LARIAT Model

This model starts at $33,160 and ups the ante with standard features like Intelligent Access with Push-Button Start, dual 4.2-inch productivity screens, leather-wrapped steering wheel, overhead console, manual sliding glass with privacy tint and defroster, carpeted floor mats, 110-volt power outlet and rear flow-through console, 18-inch machined aluminum wheels with Stealth Gray pockets and 265/60R18 BSW all-season tires (4×2) or 265/60R18 BSW all-terrain tires (4×4). Plus, the Ford Co-Pilot360™ tacks on available options like rain-sensing wipers and Forward Sensing System. Available packages include the LARIAT Chrome Appearance Package, Black Appearance Package, LARIAT Sport Appearance Package, Bed Utility Package, Technology Package, FX4 Off-Road Package (4×4 only), FX2 Package (4X2 only), and the Trailer Tow Package.
