Although the refreshed 2022 Ford Expedition debuted just over one year ago, Ford’s not done updating its flagship full-size SUV just yet. Things move fast in today’s automotive market, and Ford’s announced plans to build on the 2022 changes with a comprehensive redesign for 2024. The 2024 Ford Expedition is set to feature a whole host of improvements, from the chassis to the interior. Here’s what to expect from the 2024 Expedition.
Superior Styling
The redesigned Expedition for 2024 is big and bold, building upon decades of premium styling cues from past models. At the front, there’s a big, wide grille with bold “Ford” lettering. Linear headlights and seamless bumpers give the SUV a modern, streamlined appearance. While wheels range by trim level, 20-inch lightweight alloys are available as an eye-catching accent.
Interior Updates
The all-new 2024 Ford Expedition sets the bar high in terms of comfort and practicality, all without sacrificing style. New seating with extra cushioning keeps the driver and passengers comfortable, no matter how far your journeys take you. Three rows of seats give passengers plenty of space to spread out, with adequate legroom even in the third row. A Vista Roof—Ford’s impressive panoramic roof—is an available option that brightens every drive, providing a power moonroof for front-seat passengers and a personal skylight for those in the back.
There’s also plenty of notable new tech in the interior. A generous 12-inch infotainment touchscreen using the latest Sync 4 system comes standard, but there’s even a vertical 15.5-inch option that gives everyone a great view. Expect to see all-new versions of Ford’s infotainment system, along with new driver-assistance aids.
BlueCruise
Ford’s innovative hands-free driving system, BlueCruise, is set to be available in range-topping trim levels of the 2024 Ford Expedition. This system allows for true hands-free driving on certain sections of highways. These “Hands-Free Blue Zones” make up over 130,000 miles of North American roads, relying on other available technologies like Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control and Speed Sign Recognition, to operate your vehicle hands-free.
A driver-facing camera makes sure the driver’s eyes stay on the road. As Ford continues to update BlueCruise technologies, you can expect even safer, more intuitive hands-free driving technologies in the 2024 Ford Expedition and other entries in the 2024 model year.
Unique Trims
The 2022 update of the Expedition included a special all-new trim level—the Timberline Edition. You can expect to see this trim available for the 2024 model year. If you’re looking for an off-road capable SUV with plenty of space for the family, this is the one. You can also expect to see a revamp of the Stealth Package, which can be equipped on Limited trim levels. This package increases horsepower and features stiffer suspension and 22-inch wheels that give the SUV an aggressive, sporty look.
