Safety Rating and Features of The Ford Mustang Mach E Post

The Mustang Mach E is getting a lot of attention from consumers all over Florida, and you’ve probably seen a few zipping past you silently around the Stuart area. This all-electric sports car meets SUV is quickly becoming the EV of choice for many car owners. And if you’re a lover of the Ford Mustang, you’ll be surprised to learn about some of the state-of-the-art driver safety and assistance features that are packed inside.

Today, your friends at Essential Ford of Stuart wanted to take a few moments of your time to explore the Ford Mustang Mach E safety features and safety ratings so that you can see for yourself just how this exhilarating car is built to keep drivers, passengers, and pedestrians safe.

Safety Features

Here is a list of some high-tech safety features included in the all-new Ford Mustang Mach E.

Anti-lock brakes

The ABS uses sensors to monitor the amount of spin on each tire. So if one goes flat while under heavy braking, it will apply less pressure until that wheel starts rotating again or release all its energy so that you can complete your turn safely.

Stability control

The stability control system automatically senses when you are about to overstep the vehicle’s handling limits and can reduce engine power or apply select brakes to prevent you from losing control of the Mach E.

Automatic Braking

The Ford Mustang Mach-E has an incredible safety feature that automatically applies the brakes in an emergency. So, if it detects that you’re not slowing down or pressing on the brake pedal enough when it detects that a collision is unavoidable, the Mach E will activate the automatic braking at full force and hopefully prevent an accident from happening.

Front Collision Warning Systems

The new Ford Mustang Mach-E is equipped with a front collision warning system that detects when you are about to hit another car and alerts you so that you have time for corrective action. If there seems no way out and the collision can’t be avoided, it activates the automatic brakes to reduce the impact of a crash.

Airbags

The Mach E is loaded with safety airbags if an accident occurs, and they’re designed to protect everyone inside the car. The impact airbags cover areas, including:

  • Front-impact airbags
  • Side-impact airbags
  • Overhead airbags
  • Knee airbags

Seat Pretensioners

The Mach E comes with seatbelt pre-tensioners that automatically tighten the seatbelts to place you in the optimal seating position during a collision to help reduce injury and save your life.

Safety Rating

The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach E is an IIHS 2021 Top Safety Pick for midsize SUVs. The Mach E earned the top rating of “Good” in all of the major crashworthiness categories, which include:

  • Small overlap front crash
  • Moderate overlap front
  • Side
  • Roof strength
  • Head restraints/seats.
