Ford’s Future Electric Cars and Trucks Post

Ford has announced a significant increase in production for its all-electric Mustang Mach-E. By 2023, Ford wants to achieve an annual output of more than 200 thousand units—three times as many cars were produced last year. So, what else is in store in Ford’s future?

Well, that’s what your friends at Essential Ford of Stuart wanted to take a few minutes and discuss with you today. Ford is ramping up production across all its EV models and putting the leading EV manufacturer, Tesla, on notice. Even the Ford CEO, Jim Farley, is getting into the action on Twitter with a recent Tweet saying, “It’s hard to produce Mustang Mach-Es fast enough to meet the incredible demand, but we are sure going to try.”

What does this mean?

Ford is investing a lot of money into increasing its EV production and has recently said that it will double the number of electric vehicles it produces over the next 24 months. There is even talk that they expect to have an output of 600,000 EVs across the Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, and E-Transit models. With those three new EVs, Ford is most definitely making its mark in the EV market.

Along with that increase in capacity for EV production, Ford is planning to convert more than 80% of F-150 Lightning reservation holders into actual owners. According to Farley, there have already been 160,000 reservations placed for the full-size all-electric truck ahead of its arrival on dealership lots like Essential Ford of Stuart by mid-2022.

The future of Ford appears to be leading the way in EV production without looking back. While they’re continually putting out new and exciting cars, trucks, and SUVs, they have prioritized electric vehicles.
