Ford changed the EV landscape with the release last year of the Mustang Mach E GT, and you would think it couldn’t get much cooler! After all, the Mustang remains one of the most iconic and popular muscle and performance cars on the roads around Stuart.
But thanks to the all-new Ford 2022 Mustang Mach E GT, they’ve transformed the EV game once again! Your friends here at Essential Ford of Stuart got to take a sneak peek at all of the exciting changes to the 2022 Mustang Mach E GT, thanks to our friend Alex On Autos! Let’s take some time to highlight some of our favorite changes that you can find in the Alex On Autos video from Alameda, California!
The changes start right from the first glance with a redesigned front bumper that evokes all the old-school muscle car you could ever want! And when you buy the performance package for the 2022 Mustang Mach E GT, you’ll love the 245 width Pirelli P-0 summer tires for that extra hug for every drive.
Now, what about power? Well, in the new Mach E GT, you’ll have 450 horses under the hood pulling you along. That hasn’t really changed from the previous year, but what has changed is how much of the 99.8-kilowatt-hours the 2022 model uses. Only 88-kilowatt hours of the battery were useable previously, but for 2022, 91-kilowatt hours are useable, giving you a 270-mile range.
One of the downsides to the 2021 Mach E was that it slowed charging speeds after 80%, even when using a fast charger. But with the new model, there are considerably faster charge speeds even after 80% now!
Opening the doors and going inside the new Mach E GT, you’ll instantly notice the changes to the infotainment features like the all-new portrait view support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. With the ability to expand the factory navigation and the more accurate state of charge for waypoints and destinations by pulling from crowd-sourced data from other Mach E users. And the system automatically directs you to the more efficient charging stations on your route.
The Unbridled extend mode that comes in the GT and GT Performance mode doesn’t increase the power. Instead, it optimizes the cooling for repeated performance to give you a more fun and engaging experience.
