5 Ways Ford Refresh95 Air Filters Improve Vehicle IAQ Post

This year Ford is introducing its all-new Ford Refresh95 – standard certified cabin air filters aimed at helping reduce microscopic particles that can originate both inside and outside the vehicle. Assembled in the US, Ford plans to cover a majority of its lineup by the end of 2023. Here are five ways Ford Refresh95 certified air filters can help improve vehicle interior air quality or IAQ.

  1. The Ford Refresh95 filters air particles 30 times smaller than a strand of human hair, which is about 70 microns in diameter. The certified air filters can help remove at least 95% of 2.5-micron size traffic exhaust, organic material, metals and road dust particles.
  1. Helping reduce allergens, the Ford Refresh95 certified air filter can trap up to 99% of some allergens. This also includes common pollens and dust particles.
  1. Additionally, the Ford Refresh95 traps bacteria-sized particles. This can help reduce airborne concentrations of bacteria.
  1. In dry climates with dust storms or wildfires and in urban areas with heavy stop-and-go traffic, Ford Refresh95 can help filter the particulate matter found in smog and soot.
  1. Through comprehensive third-party lab certification testing, Ford Refresh95 is verified to work throughout the recommended service interval.

Ford Refresh95 is expected in late 2021 for select vehicles, including the Bronco Sport, Escape, Explorer, Mustang Mach-E, Police Interceptor Utility and Maverick. Plus, existing Ford customers with a compatible vehicle will also be able to purchase a Ford Refresh95 air filter starting later this year.
