Performance

For the best off-roading experience, the 2022 Bronco Sport has an available 2.0L EcoBoost engine capable of 250 horsepower and all-wheel drive. As you probably guessed, Ford equipped their pride and joy with the means to do so much more. This Bronco refuses to tremble at the sight of rock, water, sand, mud, and snow. Introducing GOAT (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) modes including Sand, Slippery, Sport, and Eco as well as Normal. If you get the Badlands trim, you’ll have the additional Mud/Ruts and Rock Crawl modes so you can handle literally any environment.

The Cherokee also supports a 2.0L engine. Although it caps at 270 horsepower which is a tad more than the Bronco, it’s void of the useful off-roading features that actually get you to where you need to go. Not only that, but the Cherokee is severely lacking in mileage which is incredibly important when going on uncharted adventures. When there’s no gas station around for miles, every bit of fuel can make or break your trip.

As expected of Ford, the 2022 Bronco Sport includes the Ford Co-Pilot360 which comes with all of the essential safety features designed to keep you out of harm’s way. This can all be done while using SYNC 3 to voice-control all of your technology so you can keep your hands locked onto the steering wheel.

The 2022 Cherokee also comes with standard safety features involving collision warnings, lane assists, and parking assists. Interior

Plus, zipper pockets and a MOLLE strap system integrated into the back of the seats also helps with items that require easy access. The Bronco Sport is also device-friendly with wireless charging and an available 400V built-in power outlet. You’ll never have to worry about messes with easy-to-clean seats, and flood lights integrated into the inner liftgate give you a sense of security in the middle of the night. And you’ll never guess that there’s an available foldout camp table built right into the trunk. Oh, and there’s a bottle opener, too!

What does the Cherokee bring to the campsite table? Sadly, not much. 54.7 cubic feet of cargo space means that you’ll have to pick and choose what to bring with you. On the bright side, you’ll have a cozy drive with heated seats and dual-zone temperature control.
