2025 Ford Escape vs 2025 Toyota RAV4
You don’t need to break the bank to own a capable family SUV in Stuart when you can get the Escape or RAV4 for just under $30k. They both have similar starting prices, but one of them gives you more room to boost your power and high-end tech. That would be the 2025 Ford Escape that carries everything you need for taking the kids to band practice, bringing them to your favorite camping spot in the mountains, and everything in between.
Performance
There are two ways to get your Ford Escape in Stuart. The 2025 Escape comes standard with a 1.5L EcoBoost engine with 180 horsepower or you can upgrade to the 2.0L EcoBoost with 250 HP. The standard engine features auto start-stop technology to promote lower emissions and the 2.0L EcoBoost supports available towing enhancements, catering to every kind of driver. With all of the right towing upgrades, the 2025 Ford Escape can tow up to 3,500 pounds which makes camping trips a breeze.
Having just one engine type to spare, the new 2025 Toyota RAV4 is very middle-of-the-road with 203 horsepower. No more, no less. Just a tad overkill for driving around town, but not enough to tackle more daring road trips. It feels like being stuck in limbo with no way out, and no amount of drive modes will change that. The drive modes in the RAV4 feel a bit too niche to be useful anyway with your choices being Mud & Sand, Rock & Dirt, Snow, and Normal. The drive modes in the Ford Escape make more sense for regular use with those being Eco, Sport, Slippery, and Normal.
Safety & Features
Ford paid special attention to the Escape’s safety capacity which is why you’ll find a solid selection of driver-assist features this year. Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ is back and enhanced with Adaptive Cruise Control for an intuitive driving experience. The Blind Spot Information System is enhanced with Rear Cross-Traffic Braking to help prevent collisions with automatic brake pressure in response to obstacles. Navigate your Ford Escape through Stuart without hesitation with the available 360-degree camera that gives you a clear view around the entire vehicle next to Reverse Brake Assist which helps keep you from bumping into anything on the way out.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 in the 2025 RAV4 promises an enhanced experience in the name but still offers basic safety essentials like automatic braking, radar cruise control, automatic high beams, and lane assist. Being an iconic and heavily relied-on SUV by Toyota, the automaker fails to offer anything substantially new in terms of safety and driver-assist features
Interior
Step inside the 2025 Ford Escape for a rewarding experience in space, comfort, convenience, and technology. There are over 40 inches of available space in the front row to eliminate the feeling of being overcrowded by the dash and center console, providing relief during long road trips. The front-row chairs in the Escape can be made into plush bucket seats with heating and power adjustments next to a sliding second row. Tech has been greatly elevated in the 2025 Ford Escape with an available 13.2-inch infotainment screen and available 10-speaker B&O sound system. The new Escape also goes cord-free with wireless charging and smartphone connectivity. The decision to go with a rotary shift dial results in an open atmosphere and minimalist interior design.
While the Ford Escape is elegant and luxurious, the Toyota RAV4 continues to be your typical SUV. Its SofTex seats look and feel average with the overall atmosphere feeling rather small and cramped in comparison. The RAV4’s infotainment upgrade still features a 12.3-inch display while the Escape has effortlessly broken this limit. On top of the RAV4 missing the opportunity to take a step into next-gen technology, the average 12.3-inch infotainment upgrade is the highlight of this ride’s electronics.
Bottom Line
All things considered, we had a hard time finding any difference between the 2024 and 2025 RAV4 models. You’re more likely to feel like you’ve made a real upgrade by going with the more modern 2025 Ford Escape with next-gen features, not to mention more power to get you to where you need to go in Stuart (and even farther).
