2025 Ford Bronco Sport vs 2025 GMC Terrain
You know those quirky-looking SUVs that promise sport in their design but can’t rise up to the challenge when one comes along? We don’t like those, either. Thankfully, our highlighted vehicles today aren’t anything like that. The 2025 Bronco Sport is especially more powerful for a reliable companion in Stuart that can carry you through any adventure. The latest GMC Terrain might have the looks, but Ford packed in more of what actually matters into their prized Bronco.
Performance
The new Bronco Sport comes in two drivetrains, and both are absolutely vicious on dirt, gravel, mud, and anything else that’s rolled out before you on your daring travels out of Stuart. The standard 2025 Ford Bronco Sport comes with a 1.5L turbocharged engine putting out 181 horsepower, but for a true show of force, the available 2.0L engine amps that up to 238 HP. All-wheel drive is standard, so you don’t need to worry about off-roading capability. But if you’re really hankering to enhance your rig, you can opt for available features like Trail 1-Pedal Drive and a differential lock system.
The thing about going with the latest GMC Terrain? You’re stuck with a 1.5L turbocharged engine whether you like it or not. It also hurts to mention that AWD does not come standard, so you would have to pay attention to what you buy. 175 horsepower is shared between FWD and AWD versions of the Terrain, which is rather lackluster even when compared to the Bronco Sport’s base setup. So the next time you’re wondering which is more capable for your exciting drives around Stuart, the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport is clearly built to handle more.
Safety Features
Ford knows exactly how you will be driving your new Bronco Sport in Stuart. That’s why each standard feature was hand-picked to deliver precisely what you need to dive headfirst into your next adventure safe and sound. Forward Collision Warning, Automated Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane-Departure Warning, Lane-Keeping Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go all come with every Bronco Sport model for 2025. That’s a mouthful, and that’s a good thing. But that’s not to say the latest Bronco Sport is without upgrades. For a little extra (if you so wish), you can equip your rig with a 360 Degree Camera with Trail & Split View and Steel Underbody Protection so you don’t have to think twice about rolling over that rock in the way.
You’ll have a sizable amount of safety and driver-assist features in the new GMC Terrain, too. But after getting a closer look, you’ll realize that many of these features aren’t anything worth bragging about. Much of it is what you’ll find in pretty much any new car. But if we had to pick one thing that’s rather unique, the 2025 Terrain is the first model to feature a camera mirror. That’s neat, but merely a gimmick compared to what Ford offers in their new Bronco Sport.
Interior
It’s got style, but more importantly, it has utility. That’s two things that we love in a compact, and the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport has all of that and more. It’s got the exciting aesthetic that we love in our small, sporty rides in Stuart, and it’s got the practical features to tie it all together. Some of it makes perfect sense, like how the new Bronco Sport features a slide-out table in the cargo hold for those times you want to stop for a hand-made lunch after coming back from your hike. Modern tech is present as well, like a massive 13.2-inch Center Stack Screen with wireless smartphone connectivity and charging next to an equally impressive 12.3-inch Fully Digital Instrument Panel Cluster.
The Terrain isn’t without its perks. The only problem is that those perks are painfully ordinary. Heated seats? Done before. Remote start? Nothing new. Everything that the GMC offers in the Terrain is all classic staples of entry-level luxury, and we’re not impressed. What makes the new 2025 Bronco Sport different and better suited for spontaneous drives is creative accommodations like the slide-out table that’s built right into the cargo area. Ford thinks outside the box, and that’s something to applaud.
Bottom Line
For a sport-centric vehicle that feels like more than just your average SUV in Stuart, the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport is the kind of car that carries fun memories. It’ll get you over rough patches, it looks the part, and it’s a reliable companion packed with necessities you didn’t even know you needed.
